Bad product

I purchased a ACE self-adhering bandage one day ago. This has to be the worst item I ever purchased. The self-adhering does not work, the bandage does not adhere.

Worked once , junk!

An absolute waste of money. This product worked once for me after that it would not stay together. Ace tried to duplicate the vet wrap however vet wraps are disposable so are ACE self adhering bandage’s.

Uh Uh, Garbage!

Worked...good, once or twice. Then it doesn't stick any longer. Great for the company because you have to keep buying new ones. Give me the one with clips any day. Trouble is, no one seems to stock the clips anymore. Make the clips stronger, then concentrate on selling them, not this. PS, Again, clever to use, once!

Does not work

First, I’m a physical therapist. I know all about compression wraps. So when I had a knee injury, I thought, great! No clips! WRONG!! Very hard to wrap. Almost impossible to wrap without wrinkles (first thing taught in PT school- NO WRINKLES!) Started unwrapping within 15 minutes of application. Terrible product. Don’t waste your time.

WASTE of MONEY!!!!

I bought the 4 inch one for my foot and ankle. I haven't even had it on for an hour, and it is falling off and won't adhere to itself. It's very sticky, and every single piece of lint, hair, etc sticks to it. Worst money spent. I am so disappointed with ACE now.

Wasted money

I bought this to wrap a foot injury. It was very difficult to unroll while wrapping. It was very difficult to insert the wrapped foot into a shoe, as it stuck to the shoe and would not slide in. Then, it was impossible to remove the shoe at the end of the day without tearing out the insole and ruining that. Removing the wrap was also harder than it should have to be. I will never buy this product again. Worst product ever.

Horrible idea

Pain in the butt do to the fact that is adheres to itself make it nearly impossible to reuse it. The good old fashioned ace wrap with the clips is what I will use from now on.

Great while it sticks - and that isnt long

I bought this a few days ago to apply some compression to my arm. It worked great the first and second time. The third time took some fidgeting but I got it to stick. Fourth time did not stick. Washed per instructions- no soap flat air dry - and that did very little (not to mention a pain in the rear to dry(). ACE should really label this a single use or limited use product and not reusable. It isn't.

Not worth it

Worked for one day. Tried to put it on day 2 and it won’t stick. Wish I bought the tried and true one with the hooks.

Self stick

I bought this product to cover a cut so the bandage would stay clean. I was very impressed that even after washing the product it still stayed sticky

Not reusable

I’m having no issue with adherence. In fact, after use, it curls to the point that when I remove it, it adheres to itself in the shape of a shoestring or Twizzler. This makes it unusable since it’s virtually impossible to flatten out, almost permanently stuck to itself. Any ideas on how to correct this to become useable again? For the cost, seems ridiculous for a one-time application.

bought two of them but if re-adjusted, won't hold

I bought two of the ace bandages 4 inch and wore each a day or so. Then I tried to re-adjust them for less swelling/ comfort, but they will not hold together anymore. What can I do? I thought they were just what I needed, but I guess not now.

Didn’t last

I purchased this today at 2 pm and it will not stay stuck to itself at 8pm. I wasted my money on this. I had to use a safety pin to hold it together

Self adhering for.... DIRT

Bought this from a local pharmacy for sprained ankle. Used it for almost a day. It won't adhere and became loose, so had to re wrap my ankle again and again. Then it got dirty. Tried to wash it with lukewarm water and soap. Nope, the dirt won't come off. Good only as one-use! Better buy the non-adhering.

Terrible

One person cannot use this product. It is rebranding of vet wrap. There is little elasticity and is too sticky for use. Its basicsly disposable.

Concept is nice...

I have a sprained ankle. I needed to have a smaller width bandage and could not find a standard wrap at my local pharmacy. So I went with this 3"self adhesive. Even when first trying to use it I was frustrated that it was sticking everywhere but after that it was just a matter of what shoes I could wear if I needed to go to the store etc. I tried sandals and little did I know it was going to make everything worse. The wrap was sticking to my sandal, pulling at my foot and causing me to have issues walking. I'm peeved that I just don't have a standard wrap my sprain is getting worse and every day is just me looking at this nasty wrap, having to deal with it and just put it on because, well from the looks of it water doesn't really help the situation.

Does not stay

I bought this tonight for my bad foot. I wrapped my foot as I have done plenty of times in the past. Not even 15 minutes later it's coming undone, I fix it and not even a minute later it's doing it again. I don't want yoo have to wear a sock to hold it in place when it says self adhering. I would rather have the sharp hooks than this!

Not impressed

I sprained my wrist and needed to wrap it up. I was hoping for the traditional style bandage with clips but the self adhesive type were the only kind available so since I really needed it, that is what I got. After the initial wrap it becomes a hassle as it wants to stick to itself and gets folded over and misshapen and it is time consuming and impossible to get it straightened back out. It also loses its adhesive quality on the ends where it is most needed very quickly - I've only been using it for four days and on the third day it was already coming unwrapped a bit and today it is coming unwrapped to the point it is not doing much good to have it on. I'll be ordering some of the standard bandages with clips to keep on hand for future use, since I can't find anything but self adhesive locally, and this will continue to do till those come in but I am really not impressed with it at all.

Does not stay adhered

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product for my husband for swelling he is having in his legs. When I put the bandage on his legs I noticed that when i was finished with the wrapping it did not want to hold at the end....came unwrapped the first time and the next time i ended up putting paper tape to try and hold in place. Still came undone. Very unhappy and will use another product with clasps next time.

No hooks to mess with!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these bandages. I have three sons - two who are super active in team sports and the other who loves boxing. Have used so many of these for sports injuries. Love not having to mess with the hooks. And it really sticks - you're not forever messing with it to get it re-stuck.

Avoid with Ice bag..makes sticky!

Do not use ice bag if ankle is wrapped with Ace 3" no clips..causes the ace wrap to become sticky when in contact with ice bag..And solution in wrap gets the ice bag or what ever u r using, to get sticky.

Couldn't reuse

I have a strain in my hamstring. I used this bandage one time and it was fine. The next time I tried to use it the bandage would not stick. I threw it out. Was a waste of my money. Maybe the self adhering wasn't the right thing to use.

Self adhesive is great

We use a lot of bandages at our house (accident prone athletic children) I love the self adhesive so much better than the ones with the metal clips. The clips always seem to fall off and you can never find them until you step on them.

Not a good wrap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for a previous injury that I had, I had broken my foot and since then it becomes really sore alot and have developed a lot of scar tissue, doctor requested I use an ACE bandage to contain some of the swelling and pain, I thought ok sounds great, I though wow no clamps it sticks, this will work perfect, I was wrong, this thing sticks to everything, hair off the floor which is gross because it comes from work, dont try to wear a sock or sandles with it it wont work, just not a good wrap and I hope they see that and fix the issue, wont purchase again,

Terrible Feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using the bandage w velcro, worked great. Went and bought a spare ,thought I would try the new self adhering version. So I get home and decided to replace wrap on knee.Read all directions on box, since it's new to me. I then proceeded to re wrap my knee with the bandage, feels pretty good,it's pretty sticky and I thought it would work just like they said, well I finished wraping my knee, felt pretty good. 5 mins. later as I walked I looked down to notice that 2 wraps had come undone on my knee. I stoped and rewraped it. It didn't even stay on for 2 min after that. I tried several more times be fore I gave up. My wife even tried and she could not get it to stay on. Well i put on my old velcro wrap, which workes quite well. I have been useing ace for the last 30 years, but as you can tell I will not promote the self adhering bandage too any of my friends.

Decades of Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used the Ace brand Elastic Bandages for decades. It is the only brand I will buy. Hospitals have sent us home with other brands of bandage, and we were lucky if the bandage lasted until the injury healed. And the new Self-Adhering bandage is great. No more keeping track of clips, or finding safety pins. No more clip lumps to snag, or otherwise get in the way. Thank you Ace brand for making a reliable product.

Multiple uses

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this specific item numerous times. Best feature no metal clasp to snag things, scrape skin, or lose. Added bonus you don't have to find the edge to place a metal clamp if you are using it yourself with no assistance. I have also used this item on my pets. Didn't stick to fur and with no clamps to become loose, my pet didn't try chewing or pulling it off and it was snug enough that it didn't fall off while she was running, jumping or playing. I highly recommend this product.
