Dissatisfied customer
July 2, 2020

I dread having to order this product again.

I've been a customer for over 30 years. My handwriting is small--even tiny--but I still find your tiny lines annoyingly too small. If I had the time, I would white-out all the lines and numbers for every day. Let's face it, your customer base is probably on the older side, like me, and we don't want to be restricted to appointments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In a world where people are working or doing things 24/7, this product is sadly out of touch. Please, please, please get rid of the tiny lines and numbers for each day!

Terrible changes in the 2021 refill

I am so disappointed in your revisions to what has been an exceptional pocket refill planner for me for 25 years. Please bring back the blank page for each day and cut out all the fine print. Also bring back the monthly tabs. You have ruined the 2021 planner. If I can find a replacement for my wallet I will.

Disappointed

I have watched the quality go down over the past few decades. Long gone are the days of thick blue pages, with an empty box for each day. Now we have thin white pages with totally useless little lines in each box, tiny numbers to fill in as time of day, which 99.9% will ignore. This is not how human beings write in an appt. book. I give 3 stars because it does fit as a refill and is better than nothing.

Last time purchasing this product

After many years of using this product, this will be the last year. I was disappointed in the revision that put lines in the calendar date blocks, but was will ing to live with it. Then when I ordered this years calendar insert with the advertised $3 shipping, and they charged me $7.50 and it took 3 weeks to get here, I decided that this was the last time. Very poor service and actually an illegal bait & switch.

Appt book refill

This product is just fine BUT finally, getting the product I ordered after the first order error. Sadly, I made the mistake of assuming my refund would not be a problem so on the phone reordered what I thought I had per the early order email. Months later and some over 20 emails/replies, phone calls, etc. this decades-long customer still is waiting and getting promises. Now in the hands of a supervisor I hope but who knows. For weeks I was assured my refund was processed and before that told all sorts of stories why I hadn't seen it on Paypal. So we will see as the times passes. Paypal is helping as well. Because of the poor service of actually getting my refund I have to rate this company poorly. Not sure what has happened to them.

Only until I find another option

The tiny lines filling in each and every day make it impossible to be easy to use. Why change from the space where you had the ability to fill in as needed? Lines are too tiny. I have been using this DayTimer for 30 years, have everyone of them to refer back to. Looking for another option as you have made it impossible to use. So disappointed!

I'd be lost without my Week At A Glance!

I use a smartphone and a laptop daily, but my Week At A Glance is the easiest and fastest way to stay organized compared with Outlook calendar or anything else electronic. My Week At A Glance has all my appointments, "to do" items and calendar reminders available literally "at a glance" and is by far the most easy to use and quickly accessible calendar. I've used it for decades and prefer it as the simplest and best way to keep myself organized.

Never buy again

Used the unlined version 70-905 for over 30 years (some with the blue pages and still have them) until it was replaced with the lined version 70-008. I will not be buying the 70-008 again as it reduces writing space daily and leaves even smaller space on Saturday an Sunday. The pocket planner was really unique when the blue page version was available which was phased out several years ago, and the newer versions especially the 70-008 lined version literally stink. I suppose you have examined all the marketing data to change, however, this change does not go well what with it's replacement. Therefore, I am already shopping elsewhere for 2021. My suggestion is go back to the old blue page version and watch sales go thru the roof.

Why This Replacement?

This product is a poor replacement for the discontinued item I had been using for years. I bought this one for 2020 and it has been adequate but a poor replacement. I don't have the number of the previous version, but it was a week at a glance without the hourly lines. I'm ignoring the lines, but the blank daily boxes were superior to this impostor..

Inadequate disclosure in your on-line ad

I responded to an on-line of free shipping. I thought that I was getting an appointment book for 2021, since we are already welll into 2020. If the ad specified that the appointment book was a leftover of 2020 books, any such disclosure was well hidden. As soon as it is safe to go to the post office, I am returning the product and am most disappointed at the inadequate disclosure (perhaps even misleading) that led me to misorder this produce when I wanted the 2021 version.

Dont love this but it's the right size

Actually hate this but it's the only refill that will fit into my 70-543 cover which has been discontinued. Now the refill - 709509 - has also been discontinued and I can't find another weekly planner with unruled pages that is the same size. I don't suppose there is any chance to bring back the discontinued item or replace it with something similar. The other weekly planners are either too small or too large for my purposes. Yes, I have a phone with a calender and notes but I still like something I can actually write in and isn't a device.

Would NOT buy again!!

For decades I purchased the same weekly planner then it was discontinued but I tried a similar one with lines and times listed. I do not like it so I will check local stores for one I prefer. Why would you discontinue a product you had my whole career?? Another issue is the ever rising price of the one I bought and prior one.

Too Much Tiny Print -- Overwhelming!!

Hope you'll listen to public outcry and bring back the LINE-FREE version of this formerly perfect pocket calendar! Why did you tamper with perfection? The space here is way too small to make it an hourly day planner. Finding myself just writing over the lines/times, which makes for a jumbled, chaotic mess. Yuck!

I'll buy this product from a store where I can see it.

You sent me the wrong products. I wanted 70 009 (blank pages) not 70 008 (pages with lines). Also you sent me the wrong binder. The one you sent me is too big for my shirt pocket.

I wanted "refill for 70-905, which I have been using for many many years, but I was told that the 70-905 was no longer being made. Therefore, I will have to look for a similar product some where else, i.e. no lines and no times.

I am disappointed and not a little annoyed, after all these

I ordered what I supposed was the same weekly planner I've used pretty much continuously since at least 1970. A different product showed up; it didn't suit me; I sent it back. with a request for the product I've been using. No response. Eventually a credit showed up on my credit card statement. I called to find out what was going on. Turned out that what I wanted was discontinued. I reluctantly reordered the replacement product that was sent originally. Days and days went by. I finally went to my local office supply store and got a marginally satisfactory replacement. The shipment finally showed up, long after the tracking app predicted. (It took something like three days to get from Kent to South Colby, about an hour's drive.) I'm sending it back. The planner is still in my pocket, but I'm not a bit happy with the way this transaction was handled. Recommended, maybe, but with reservations.

Bring back the blank day listings!

I have week-at-a-glance diaries dating back to the 1980s. I use them to record appointments, travel plans, events, health information, etc. I despise the new format with lined entries for hourly appointments. It's difficult to read, I don't need that many lined entries, and it makes it difficult to enter information other than appointments. Please bring back the week-at-a-glance that has blank space for each day!!

Who thought it was a good idea to replace 70-905 with this cluttered version? The old calendar has served me well for decades. From these reviews, it sounds like I'm not the only one. Your tin ear has sent me to another calendar from another company, and I'm not coming back.

I'm glad I read the reveiws before purchasing.

I'm not going to buy this because it has the annoying lines. I can't write that small anyway. I've used these datebooks since 1979, when the pages were blue. Always, unlined. I'll look for an alternative. Hopefully, next year this refill will be with unlined pages.

Very disappointed

I have used the weekly calendar refill for many years & liked it. For 2020 the refill comes with lines on each page instead of being blank so it is hard to write in your appointments. Don't know if I will buy again next year if they don't correct this obvious problem.

Where is the unlined version???

I have been using the unlined format for many years and was very disappointed to open the new refill and see the lined version!! It would have been nice to know that BEFORE ordering!!! The size of this planner does not lend itself to timed slots and is unnecessary for my purposes. I will be looking online for a replacement planner!!

Awful, Hard to Use

1. Tiny, tiny spaces in which to write. 2. I don't know how any right handed person can make an entry in the "PM" sections of the Monday - Wednesday page. Your hand sits on top of the metal binder and is unsteady at best. I rather imagine the same is true for a lefty trying to write on the facing page. 3. Where are we supposed to put evening appointments? 4. I have used the blank space model for decades. Bring it back! Bottom line: hard to use junk as compared to the refill which had wide open blank spaces. I will be looking for another product line.

Not what I wanted

I thought I had ordered the 70-905 Weekly Planner. Instead, I received the 70-008 Weekly Appointment Book. I don't like the formatting of the 70-008. I prefer not to have the lines and the hours filling up the daily space, and I don't like the way Saturdays and Sundays are formatted. I am not happy with the 70-008 and would much prefer the 70-905 version.

Tripe, tripe, TRIPE!

THIS is the replacement you are making for refill 70-905? YUCK! At-a-glance, why do you think everyone needs lines? Anyone that actually has appointments each hour of each day would first off, be comatose and unable to write in a datebook, and secondly, in need of a much bigger datebook. PLEASE go back to one I have used for the past 20+ years (70-905) with NO LINES!

Perforated edges

This was the perfect appointment calendar until "cost control" led to the elimination of perforated page edges to be torn off each week. It is now necessary to "guess" at the cut line needed to keep the page edges aligned.

I have ordered this product many years after I could not find it in stores, and always was very satisfying. I too am disappointed to hear about the 70905 refill being discontinued. I've used this calendar for years and years and never had an issue with the open format.
